Reverse osmosis pushes water across a semi-permeable membrane and removes 95–99% of dissolved solids, including hardness, sodium, nitrates, sulfates, most organics, lead, and PFAS. For beverage, food, ingredient water, lab feed, healthcare, and many manufacturing processes, RO is the foundation of a defensible water quality program.

Pre-Treatment Built Around the Membrane
RO membrane life lives or dies on pre-treatment. We engineer the softener, carbon, antiscalant, cartridge filtration, and chemistry to the feedwater so the membrane sees what it was designed to see. Skipping this is the single most common reason commercial RO systems fail early.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much water does an RO system waste?
Properly designed commercial RO runs at 65–80% recovery on most municipal feedwater, sometimes higher with concentrate staging. We will publish the recovery target with the proposal and verify it on commissioning so you can compare quotes apples-to-apples.
Does RO remove PFAS, lead, and nitrates?
Yes — reverse osmosis is one of the most effective technologies for PFAS, lead, nitrates, sulfates, and many other regulated contaminants. We can provide certification documentation when required for code or compliance.
Will RO water be aggressive to our plumbing?
Permeate is low in dissolved solids and slightly acidic, which can be corrosive to mild steel and copper. For distribution we engineer post-treatment (re-mineralization, pH adjustment, or stainless distribution) appropriate to the application.
